Our park is also rich in history. Live Oak Park was once home to the Blue Heron Hotel, then Faith Mission orphanage — treasured landmarks that played an important role in the community’s early story. Though these buildings are no longer standing, a commemorative plaque in the park honors their legacy and preserves the spirit of those who once called this special place home.
