We Hold Elections for the CBCA Board of Directors every May. We are always open to having more people contribute to the process of making Crystal Beach the best place to live.

Board of Director Rolls

President

1 year term

  • Represent the organization

  • Set goals for the organization

  • Preside at meetings

  • Sign all legal documents

  • Be thoroughly familiar with the bylaws and the articles of incorporation and parliamentary procedure

  • Protect the rights of members

  • Appoint committees

  • Review and approve annual plans and budgets

  • Approve large expenditures approved by the board

  • Be able to use multiple media tools like texts, email, Zoom, Facebook, Mailchimp

  • Groom the Vice President

Secretary

1 year term

  • Keep all records of the organization on file and up-to-date

  • Notify members of their election to office and furnish them with documents

  • Maintain official documents such as bylaws, articles of incorporation and rules of order, membership lists

  • Prepare agendas and take meeting minutes

  • Announce the presence of a quorum at all meetings

  • Sign and date all minutes

  • Bring to meetings the minutes book, bylaws, rules, articles, membership list, list of committees and their members, the agenda and other records as needed

  • Provide in writing certification to outside agencies (like banks) of elected officials

Treasurer

1 year term

  • Provide support for the annual plan and budget

  • Receive and deposit membership dues into the organizations bank account

  • Receive and deposit other monies, such as from fundraisers into the organizations bank account

  • Give members receipts for their dues and notify the Membership Director of new and renewed paid members

  • Pay bills that the board or president has approved

  • Give treasurers report at board meetings

  • Keep records that will allow for audits

  • Balance and reconcile bank accounts

  • Responsible for insurance and other negotiations, renewals and corporate relationships

  • Responsible for federal and state tax filings working with accountants and tax attorneys

Director, At-Large

1 year term

  • Fundraising

  • Managing Volunteers and Event Staffing

  • Managing Communications and Technology services

  • Managing the Community Hall and Rental agreements

  • Manage and Support Membership, Events, and Charitable Activities

Vice - President

(President Elect) - 1 year term

  • President in training

  • Learn the role and responsibilities of the president

  • Preside when the president is unable to attend a meeting

  • Take over the role of president if the office is vacated

  • Be familiar with the roles and responsibilities of the president
